100% of proceeds from sales of this zine will be donated to Toronto Tiny Shelters and the Toronto Encampment Support Network (ESN), which are both grassroots initiatives supporting people living in encampments across the city.
As a couple of city-building empaths, community means everything to us. We value places that make us feel like we belong and want to create those spaces for others. Yet, it seems like our City has been falling short on doing so for some time now.
The City’s violence against and neglect for our unhoused neighbours has been infuriating. Asking citizens to stay home in a city with a housing problem was bad enough. But to take away homes built by and for community at a time when there is essentially no safer place than home? Heartless.
The Encampment Support Network and Toronto Tiny Shelters have been working tirelessly this past year to fight for those most at-risk in our community. So we thank you for supporting them, and us, through the purchase of this zine.
We are nothing without each other.
